Multiparameter & Sonde in Drinking Water
Drinking water facilities are required to monitor source and process water per regulations set forth by the EPA and comparable regulatory bodies worldwide. Measuring sites include groundwater wells, boreholes, and directly into the source water. Depending on the location of the facility, specific contaminants and parameters must be monitored continuously to ensure proper treatment. Sonde platforms enable a unique configuration based upon the local drinking water standards. If key tolerances are breached, operators can be alerted to drive treatment strategies or maintenance needs.
Common parameters configured in a sonde for drinking water quality data include pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, temperature, and various ion-selective electrodes. Ion-selective electrodes, such as nitrate and ammonium, can be added based on the known or anticipated impurities in the source water.
